Tony Plath teaches courses in commercial banking and corporate finance at the graduate and undergraduate levels. His research interests include deregulation and technological innovation in the commercial banking industry, leasing and capital project evaluation in corporate finance and contemporary financial education. Before joining the UNC Charlotte faculty in 1987, Dr. Plath held various positions in bank management at the AmeriTrust Corporation and Huntington Bank in northeastern Ohio. He has served as a branch manager, retail loan officer, commercial loan officer and relationship manager. Dr. Plath has been active in a number of community organizations including the Rotary Club, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Inc. and the American Institute of Banking.

Location
The meeting will be held at Byron's Southend, located at 101 W. Worthington Avenue, Suite 114.  Byron's Southend is located in the Courtyard Building of the Design Center of the Carolinas.  The Design Center is located on the corner of W. Worthington Ave. and Camden Rd., directly behind Sullivan's on South Blvd.  For complete directions, call Byron's Southend at 704-333-9779

There are two parking lots for Byron’s Southend.  There is one at the corner of W. Worthington and Camden.  For additional parking please following these directions.  If you are in front of the design center on W. Worthington, go to the stop sign and turn left on Haskins.  There is an additional parking lot on the right.

Cost

If registration is received by Thursday, May 12^th, 2011 by noon the cost is $25 for members and $40 for guests.  After noon on May 12^th the cost is $30 for members and $45 for guests. 

Meeting registration must be paid prior to the meeting or at the door.  No-shows and cancellations after Thursday, May 12^th at noon will be invoiced.
